If I decide to buy land where would I go to have my house designed and built for me?
We can introduce you to architects and builders who are accustomed to working with differing international requirements.
How long can I stay in Northern Cyprus?
EU passport holders receive a three month visa on arrival. If you decide to stay on the island for a longer period you can get an extension. If you decide to permanently settle here, you need to obtain a residency permit.
Is there a limit to how much land or the number of properties I wish to purchase in Northern Cyprus?
Yes, there is a limit.Currently foreign buyers can only buy 1 donum (1,338 square feet). If you wish to purchase more you can do this by using family members or friends with a different surname or by forming a company with 51% Turkish Cypriot ownership and purchasing the land in the company name.
Do I need to bring any documents to purchase land or propety?
The only documents you need is your passport.
Can I make payment transfers into and out of Northern Cyprus?
Yes, transfers can easily be made to and from any international bank directly into our HSBC bank account.
Do I need to make a new will in Cyprus or can I use my current one?
Yes you do need to make a new will. Property or land purchased here is not covered in your original will.
Who will maintain my property when I am not there?
